The Monterey County LGBTQ Collaborative works to raise awareness about the challenges impacting LGBT people and their families, and engages our local health and school systems, legal services and law enforcement, and the broader community, to improve support for LGBT people. Organizations involved in the Collaborative and partnering on related projects include California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc., the Monterey County Health Department, Community Human Services, Epicenter’s Our Gente Program for LGBTQIA+ youth, Urban Arts Collaborative – Nature is Art, Art is Healing, Conexiones of Monterey County, and the Psychology Department at Cal State Monterey Bay (CSUMB), among others.
