For Youth

The Epicenter

The Epicenter exists to empower at risk and system involved youth ages 16-24 to flourish by connecting them to community resources that provide opportunities for equity and hope in order to improve youth outcomes in Monterey County. The Epicenter is a replication of the VOICES centers in Napa and Sonoma Counties. We are a youth led and youth-run organization that works towards empowering at risk youth by providing them with a one-stop resource center.

This is a social group for rainbows and allies alike. Using the Meetup.com platform, our goal is to create a safe, fun, supportive group to get out and about in our beautiful local surroundings. We hike, dine out, go dancing, play trivia, join community events and more!

Monterey Bay LGBTQ Network

A Facebook group is something that many of us in the area have discussed for some time. It is intended to simply augment the connectivity that has already been established here in Monterey. The purpose is to have a centralized, online venue to connect the gay community of the Monterey Bay area. This would facilitate event planning, gatherings, networking and anything else we can imagine. If you want to help, you can add friends and acquaintances from the area to build the group. I look forward to what the future may bring.

Gay Monterey Yahoo Group

The Gay/Lesbian Monterey Yahoo Group provides an easy way for you to announce local events, meetings, reunions, etc. for the GLBTIQ Community of Monterey/Salinas and surrounding areas. Membership is restricted to protect members' privacy but most requests are quickly approved.

For Students

CSU Monterey Bay LGBTQQI Club

It is important to have a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Intersex (LGBTQQI) club on campus so that students have a safe community to join. Just as students at a University are diverse, the clubs that serve them need to be diverse. It is important for those who identify as LGBTQQI and allies to have access to a club that creates a confidential, safe, and welcoming environment. Our mission is to also secure the presence of a LGBTQQI community on the CSUMB campus and strive to create an LGBTQQI-friendly atmosphere by providing a visible community for ALL students to join.
